Simplest thing to do is buy a electric kettle to boil water and get a french press (I like Bodum). If you can, fresh ground is always best. Put 2tbsp coffee per 6 oz of the press, let it steep for 4 minutes (3 minutes if you get the really small press) and smoothly press the screen down. You'll find a small amount of sludge at the bottom of the cup, but it makes the simplest & richest coffee out there.

The biggest problem is probably the machine. Most coffee makers can't get water hot enough to brew properly (usually only 175-190F, but you need it around 205F). The coffee is probably not good either. I had my share of the Army coffee & it wasn't "strong" as much as it was bitter. Most people put more grounds in, but that just makes it worse.

If you have insurance, call them up, they will give you counselors to choose from, make appointments and go to a couple, see who you like the best and who gives the best advice. If not then pick up the yellow pages and choose from there, or ask friends and acquaintances for recommendations.

The best marriage counsellors are your parents - if they are happily married - i personally dont believe any other person who is not part of your life can really assist you - the advise others will give u are logic but does it have impact on you? atleat your mum, dad have feelings for you - go for them

There are a lot of marriage counselors on their 5th marriage and should never give marriage advice so find out as much as you can about them and when you go to one ask them about their school and license and experience and how is their marriage doing. if they seem to give bad advice then fire them.

A bride should never have any involvement in the bridal shower except maybe the guest list. she should be happy there are people who want to throw her a shower. simply tell her you have your OWN wedding plans that were already decided and money is tight and you can only do the best you can without any outside help. i would never expect a fellow bride to shell out more than she could afford. talk to her fast.

a majority of movies are made on studio back lots that way
they can control things
if they used a real hotel some the guests would be inconvenience

It was the Langham Huntington Hotel in Pasadena (as it's now called), it's been awhile since I saw the movie, but that's what I remember. Some of the movie was actually filmed in Pasadena, on S. Lake Ave. and at the Huntington Library & Gardens (San Marino).

During the off season, brides are few and far between. I think my favorite wedding to plan is the winter wedding. Here in CO we have snow to use and can make things cozy, etc.

Wedding planners make the bulk if not all of their money during "wedding season". This season runs from around Memorial Day to October. During this time, more people than not get married, prices are higher and demand is higher. Also during this time you make more money.
