I don't lay down the law initially. No, I wait for the inevitable conflict to arise and then when I hear them address my Johnny with the "Johnny, you should really share your toy with Tommy" I have been given an opening to school both Tommy and his "well-meaning" parent. Something like this "Excuse me, Johnny you have alot of toys don't you? And wouldn't you share them all with Tommy? And is it fair for you to give the toy you are playing with to Tommy when he can choose from all of those? And Tommy, is it fair that you raise a fuss and demand the toy that Johnny has instead of accepting what Johnny will gladly share with you? You see when adults make a child share their toy with another child by taking it from him, that's not sharing at all. That's taking and giving. Sharing is giving and accepting. Johnny will willingly give you any of his other toys to play with and you should willingly accept his offer. Now, if the only thing that will make you happy is to steal something from someone else, well then I think you need to talk to your mother about that.....
Well, I know in my house, Tommy would learn that when the liberal adult left, he'd be giving the toy back to Johnny......
Of course, in my presence, he woudln't have been in this situation. I've had to deal with those "well meaning" adults.
China is gearing up to be the least harmed by the inevitable collapse of the dollar. They are buying tons of gold and natural resources. When the $#it hits the fan, they will be the most powerful nation and leader of the WHOLE world, not just the "free" world.
Right on Sandra! My wife(an Army Captain) started this crusade several years ago. We try tobuy NOTHING made in China. We try to buy only USA goods, but alas some things simply aren't made here anymore. We will buy from "friendly" nations only when an American alternative can't be found.
Adamlitterman, Glen explicitly said when he started the 9/12 project that if you believed in just 7 of the 9 principles, then you would find yourself among like minded individuals. He even went so far as to explain that God was whoever or whatever you based your beliefs. We are born with inalienable rights. They are not given by government; indeed government can only take away rights. These rights are the natural order of life, whether you believe they have been given by a Creator(God, Allah, the Wise Old Tree, etc.) or simply manifest themselves by our existence. The point is that they are not given by government. The Constitution does not give us our rights either. It simply protects those rights from the infringement of government. Your atheistic view should not put you at odds with this, but yet, it seems that is the case. It is indeed unfortunate, that you would simply refuse to stand with us because of those who believe in a God, when they would surely stand with you even if you do not.
This is true, but the majority party heads all committees and sets the agenda. We need to fill the Republican party with our guys in 2010 so that we can put a stop to the current aganda. After that, no holds barred, the elephant becomes the eagle or they get clobbered by the rattlesnake like the donkeys.
Maybe we should send her some butter and jam......she's toast!
Skrag, I don't think many here are blind to the progressive takeover of both parties. Some may cling to the hope that the Republicans can be saved, but I do not. I do however, think we need to be as smart as they are and use their own machines against them. If we can fill the ranks of the Republicans with CONSTITUTIONAL(not conserv or lib, but those who will fight to dismantle the Federal beast and restore state sovreignty) candidates, make it known that our movement is responsible for their election, we can atleast hold "them" in check. Then by the '12 elections we will be in position to break out. Oh, and when we donate money in 2010, give it only to individual candidates, not the RNC.
I absolutely agree, Reagan. Not that I am Republican anymore, but they have the machinery. We need to use them to put a roadblock on the progressives(in both parties). We do that by voting in Republicans who support our platform. We will be organized and announce our support for said candidates. In other words, everyone will know these people were voted in by our efforts and what we expect them to do. We can do this on ALL levels of government as well. Start filling the pipes with our people now. Then when we have atleast stopped the march, we can continue to build numbers and real presence publicly and politically. By the 2012 elections we could have enough momentum to form a third party. I have a feeling America will be sicker of Obama in 2012 than they were of Carter in '80 and then, when gutting the incumbent parties won't result in a majority for either side, we can break out and really get this thing turned around.
