I've done tape manicures for years but I use masking tape instead of scotch tape. It's less sticky. =)

I don't have any crackle polishes. Boo. I remember when Cover Girl had a bunch of them years ago, and I loved them. It's kinda funny because about two years ago I posted about them on a makeup forum and the post was met with much criticism (most of the ladies hadn't even heard of them, but thought crackle polishes sounded just hideous and those that did remember them felt the same way) so I shrugged it off and just figured my beloved crackles were a thing of the past. And now they're popular again. And I haven't seen any anywhere. But I've put myself on CT for this entire year anyway so even if I did see some I couldn't buy any. Well I could but the guilt would not be fun. (Have medical stuff to deal with and need to remind myself every day to not spend money on makeup/nail polish but to save for that instead.) I shall live vicariously through your crackle pictures now. LOL

Very pretty! I always had more luck using masking tape for these sorts of manis than scotch tape though. The masking tape doesn't have quite as much "sticky" to it in my experience. I love the colors you used though and the shapes/angles you used are perfect! ♥ I like the font you used as well - very easy to read.

It's an online tool (love not having to actually download software - more space on my computer for pictures! lol) http://statcounter.com. I just use the free version but they do have a "pro" option as well. =) It really does suck how people will just take your pictures and think "if you put it online that makes it public domain". Dealing with this stuff comes with the territory when you want to share content online, be it written text or photos or any other sort of content.

I watermark the heck out of my photos because they have been stolen too many times, even with the watermarks on them. I hate to do it, because I would love to share swatches and such clearly. But, it just has to be done. I put my blog's url on them, not just my name, so people know exactly where they came from. Though even that does not always necessarily clue people in. Last year I got some emails from members of a makeup community thinking I was someone else (another member of that community) because that person had my photos uploaded to her account and because my url was on them they assumed she owned the blog. I sent replies that I was not that person, then I joined the site in order to find the person and requested she remove my photos, or at least put in the caption that they did not belong to her. She did remove them, but then she claimed to not know the rules about copyright, and that she couldn't remember where she had found the pictures when she saved them. (Since the url was on them, we know that was not true.) I also reported her to the site admins about it because as I browsed her photos I saw some others that I know for a fact did not belong to her but to other bloggers I am familiar with. So. I really make it a point to watermark. I wish it wasn't necessary but it is.

My stat program shows me when and what files people download from my blog, and I can see people do save the pictures. Frequently. I'm ok with people saving them for their own personal references... it's just when they start sharing the pictures that it crosses a line.

I agree with others - don't worry about us or blogging right now. Your health is far more important! I hope the doctors figure it out and you're on your way to recovery soon. Sending lots of good vibes your way!
