#1. NY Times is a liberal rag.

#2. All polls, no matter who conducts them are retarded. Did the NY Times ask every Republican the same question? No. They asked probably no more than 1000. So 67% of 1000 Republicans. That apparently translates into 67% of all Republicans. Polls are retarded and inaccurate.

Why is it when someone calls out Obama or any other democrat for that matter, people like you can only respond with "What about when Bush was president?" Disliking Obama does not mean you automatically liked Bush or all or part of his policies/decisions.

Polls are retarded. 67% of how many people? You can't ask 1000 Republicans a question and then say that out of ALL republicans 67% percent think this. Poll results based on questions to a small amount of people are not reflective of the entire group.

FYI, the Long Form one he released today IS a legal document. The Certificate of Live birth he produced originally was ALSO a legal form and is what Hawaiians use.

I don't think race played as much of a role in this as you might think. The fact that his father was Kenyan and that he studied and lived abroad for a short term is what led the loonies to think he was not a NBC. If he was a white man who's father was Russian and he studied and lived abroad and the same events played out you would still see the same thing. I do think that being the first black president definitely played a part but not the significant one you implied.

I don't think he should have to either however I understand the point "hopefor's" is trying to make. When all this stupid birther nonsense started, he should have sent one of his many lawyers to get it, just like now, and post it on the White House web page. Granted the die hard loonies who still think he is not a NBC would still stir the pot.

Its funny you should say that.....2 years ago I was scared to death when I heard a freshman senator with zero experience in business or politics who voted absent on pretty much everything that came in front of him was running for and was a serious contender for the presidency.

I tend to lean in the conservative/libertarian direction but I never once believed he was not a natural born citizen. There are too many people in the intelligence community and too many wealthy/powerful people (on both political sides) who would have dug something like that up and made sure the world knew. What I thought was interesting and makes me think is why not produce it 2 years ago when the conspiracy theories started so that way you squash it early. I think it was a smart move for him politically to do it just now though with all the talk in the media. If there are still people out there who think he is not a natural born citizen then they are high and they need to share.

Its unfortunate that this happened to her but its not Match.com's fault that this happened to her and they should not be responsible to check the background on every single person who signs up. It would be a complete waste of money and time. It's not against the law to become a member so lets say a sex offender gets removed after they learn of his status; whats to stop him/her from creating an email using a fake name and fake info and then joining again?
