Sounds like a typical year to me. So what's the big deal? Well, I guess if you're Jewish it's a big deal. But the world won't recognize it. They certainly won't recognize that a tiny minority of the people in the world has accomplished 100 times what their numbers would suggest. And the rest of the world still hates them for it. Even though the typical recipient just gets a relatively small stipend for his lifetime of work, the rest of the world thinks he's getting rich on the backs of the oppressed. There's a great argument to be made to suppress this Arab inanity just to allow Jews to be Jews so that we can all benefit. The Arabs are certainly not giving us much to crow about.
The world better get used to this. Turkey is going to reestablish the Caliphate and this is what they have in mind for everybody, not just the Jews.
It is an absolute islamic rule to fight to recover lost islamic lands. The muslims say it again and again, yet the West does not hear them. This is why Israel will never have peace as long as there are believing muslims in the world.

The recessed jaw reminds me of Don Knotts who played Barney Fife on the old Andy Griffith show. Barney was always doing something just over the line of sanity and common sense. The physical resemblance is strong and so is the moral one.
Egyptian tourism is dead. $15 bln a year will dwindle to $2 bln. Egypt will shortly be on the verge of starvation. There is an article over at Asian Times On Line by Spengler that paints a very bleak picture for its future. Not looking good for Turkey either.
