behind AIG. This was an article from the St. Petersburg Times Newspaper on Sunday. The Business Section asked readers for ideas on "How Would You Fix the Economy?"

I thought this was the BEST idea....I think this guy nailed it!

Dear Mr. President,

Patriotic retirement:
There are about 40 million people over 50 in the work force. Pay them $1 million apiece severance with the following stipulations:
1) They leave their jobs. Forty million job openings -
Unemployment fixed.

2) They buy NEW American cars. Forty million cars ordered -
Auto Industry fixed.

3) They either buy a house or pay off their mortgage -
Housing Crisis fixed.

It can't get any easier than that!
PS---If more money is needed, have all members in
Congress and their constituents pay their taxes.

Hey everyone.................I know just about everyone in here feels about the same way. Well I have had it! So I came up with a plan that we can all participate in to help ourselves and others that might need it. I need some help. It might be off the wall and crazy (and I would appreciate honest feedback when I put it up) but I think we can do it. It will take ideas,time, and effort. But I feel we can do anything!
I was always taught that if you want something done you usually have to do it yourself. Now the tea parties, and everything that everyone of us is involved in is wonderful and amazing, but honestly, they do hear us but really don't care, and as we know, it will never be seen on the main stream media. But we must keep moving forward and make our voices heard! Never give up!
My plan is written out (3 pages long) and I would like to know how and where I can put this for everyone to read and give input. I will start with this post and check back for feedback. I'm not great at this tech stuff so I need some direction.
