Toastssss! Best thing I've ever eaten...my mama's chicken noodle soup, probably! I haven't eaten meat for about a decade, and so there's an extra nostalgia layer around the memory of eating it too.

Not sure if anyone will see this, but you guys seem like by far the best people to ask about this...how do you Toast creatives deal with creative malaise/professional jealousy/"just do the damn work"??? I'm in a not great headspace about my writing and I want to get back to enjoying it for the right reasons, but I can only see the shortfalls in my work and the GREAT work other people are doing. I know rationally that their success doesn't detract from mine and I want to be big and gracious. How to get there again? I'm hoping I can start 2016 in a better place.

I really like the coziness of the holidays! but one rly weird thing I can't take is how in some families it's super normal after the meal for all the women to like get up and start cleaning immediately while the dudes watch football/pick their teeth. This isn't really a thing in my family, but we are on our way to husband's fam for turkey dinner and I'm cringing anticipating it. If I don't participate in women's cleaning time I look oddly lazy/strange, but if I do I start getting a small rage headache in my forehead thinking about the dudes just Sitting there all happy with themselves being like touchdown offsides extra point sportsball.
