um, maybe you could name the deputy chief???????
I go to a number of different sources too. However, since they all seem to use the same AP stories it is hard to find a different take on issues of the day.
All I know is that since the passage of obamacare my insurance premioums (and those of most of theothers I have talked to) have skyrocketed. This bill did NOTHING to help out the vast majority of people who already had insurance (70% of the population). In fact it hurt us. That is why it is extremely unpopular.
For thoise folks fine, unfortunately, it makes it much more expensive for the rest of us.
My comment was in regard to the media coverage, not the NAACP itself. I applaud the NAACP for inviting somone they don't necessasrily agree with, listening politely and showing their appreciation with the parts of the speach that they DID agree with. The media could have focused on that. They could have used the MSNBC commentater's statement - Romney well received by the NAACP, which he was. They DO point out the applause he got -- well into the body of the story.. But, they couldn't help themselves and had to say something negative in the headlines. That is the bias I was referring to. I think a bigger part of the problem is that so many of the major news outlets use the same AP story rather than writing their own. It leads to real "cookie cutter" view of events. At least Fox provides competing viewpoints rather than running the same AP story that every one else does.
There is nothing in the Affordable Health Care Act that actually makes healthcare affordable -- mandatory, yes, but not affordable.
I wastched/listened to this speach as i was getting ready for work today. What struck me was the enormous number of times Romney got applause throughout his speach. He was boo'd once and applauded dozens of times. Of course, that's not a good headline for the liberal media.
I was a beta tester for Windows 8 on a laptop and can tell you it is very different. It is all app based. It was all very interesting, but I'm buying a new laptop in the next couple of weeks and I think I'll just stick with Windows 7.
You might be able to make that arguement on a national basis where we have had several major changes in leadership. However, locally liberal democrats have been in charge in at both the city and state level for almost 30 years. This IS their mess, they made it, they should own it.
not to mention the $10 million they spent on the Queen Anne bicycle bridge.
