Good for North Carolina for taking steps toward a more humane and universally-acceptable way of euthanizing unwanted animals. It's a step in the right direction, and that is positive. Baby steps are better than no steps at all. Eventually I would like to see the gas chamber not used at all...for ANY animals. I agree with the post above, It is sad that it has to happen at all, hopefully we can also see a time where there are No More Homeless Pets in North America. I am not from NC, or even from the U.S., but from Canada. And with the help of the World Wide Web, the world is at our fingertips & the world is watching. I hope more improvements are still to come, Dr. Hunter.
