I'm glad it was me! :) But thanks for bringing back Max, I had just about forgot about him!
Pappy, I'm with you 100%. I just don't see any point in making it easy for them:)
I didn't think about checking who it's following either. It responds to tweets with the #iamthemob hashtag (which has become one of my favorites lately!) I used the tag after I had blocked it and was not recorded, so that seems to do the trick.
Sorry. The link is picking up the period. Delete the period and you will get the page.
For everyone who has a twitter account: Please block the username @Mobwatch. This account seems to be recording the usernames and messages of anyone using the #iamthemob hashtag. Mobwatch does not show up when you use the "find people" function but you can go directly to the page at
http://twitter.com/mobwatch. There click on "block" to prevent your tweets from being stored. I don't know who/what created mobwatch, but I'm not taking any chances. I AM THE MOB!!!
Voilà! In view, a humble vaudevillian veteran, cast vicariously as both victim and villain by the vicissitudes of Fate. This visage, no mere veneer of vanity, is a vestige of the vox populi, now vacant, vanished. However, this valorous visitation of a by-gone vexation, stands vivified and has vowed to vanquish these venal and virulent vermin van-guarding vice and vouchsafing the violently vicious and voracious violation of volition. The only verdict is vengeance; a vendetta, held as a votive, not in vain, for the value and veracity of such shall one day vindicate the vigilant and the virtuous. Verily, this vichyssoise of verbiage veers most verbose, so let me simply add that it's my very good honor to meet you and you may call me V.
You still don't get it. Those arguments don't hold water either... EVEN IF the three points you make above were true, the REAL point is: WE DON'T WANT GOVERNMENT IN OUR HEALTH CARE! AT ALL! And yes, that means no MediCare or Medicaid EITHER!
You are right to want competition. Unfortunately, the government is not real competition, it is unfair competition. To get real competition in the health insurance industry, we need to get away from the employer funded insurance, Medicaid, and Medicare, and get back to a cash based system. With no insurance or government program to pick up the bill, every clinic, doctor and hospital in the US would go broke. Then after someone picked up the pieces for bargain basement prices, they would start charging people $20, $30, maybe $50 to see the doctor. That's it. No copay, no insurance bill. $50 cash. Done. As for malpractice, go ahead sue the pants off of them. You won't get any money because there's none to be had. After a while, the suits would stop. You may think that kind of system is impossible now, since we're in so deep. The irony is that that's where we will be in a few years anyway since the current plan will certainly bankrupt the country.
Now THAT I could get behind!
