Ah and also- without the " sergeant" upgrade, you have no characters whatsoever. So no challenges- less important now that wounds pass over, but whatever, always a setback, because you also have no combi weapons. And Wolf Banners are more worse they say. Goodbye SW, see you in 9th edition.

The lack of CCW makes no sense, i've build a whole army based on that, and won't change a single bit because of a new edition. I don't get why on hell they still cost more than vanilla SM now .Also the single attached 2+ model, while certainly not game breaking, was nice , and sometimes saved your ass both in assaults and counter assaults. Just hope to see something new now, because SW look like boring SM. But we should wait and see. Also, SM have access to grav weapons, if SW don't have them, they are quite crap. Not only centurion devastators, also combigrav and grav guns on bykes are a thing. SW should be able to do SOMETHING in melee, but in my opinion, they are rather weak now. Also, their special weapons at full price is quite a setback- at the end , you will be paying a lot of points more to have less, if you compare with vanilla SM. But at the end, we should see the whole book before commening, because a single unit entry can change a codex's performace completely.

I think those cheap Meks should be considered standard on any army with wagons or gorkanauts ( or maybe morkanauts) - they are only 9 points more than a single boy and save some precious HPs. They may change how a mechanized horde is going to be played , probably .

It's bettero to die for the emperor than live for yourself.

It was true in 6th, but seriously i doubt it will be so easy in 7th , expecially on maelstrom.

I was thinking about 5 guys tactical, whose price with a transport is similiar to buyz+ trukk, and which we see here in our local . And, maybe you are right on the landing pad , but sometimes it ends up being very useful . Maybe it is better to add another Trukk!!

You have some very good points, but consider the following. 12 guys + trukk+ pole , nob, = 117 pts.
10 tacticals with a sarge , flamer & lascannons are 180 points- and still are missing a transport, so they may end up costing nearly twice as much.
Also , many players here combat squad the tacticals .
If you add the power klaw , the price goes up , but you have a nasty guy dangerous aganist a lot of targets, and can even hope to break a whole tac squad .
I dont' think this kind of units are badass, but they can fill their role.

As for the serpent, assuming you are in the 24" range on the landing pad , you are taking (4.5*8/9*2/3+4*8/9*0.5+3*8/9*1/3)*0.5 = 2.667 HP. But for a serpent wasting all its firepower, lowering the shield, moving out of cover probably to destroy a 30 points transport, whose content is less expensive than the serpent alone, is hardly a good move. As for the broadside, you are again right, but their cost ( and markerlight use) makes shooting at trukks a very bad deal IMHO.
For each trukk that is wrecked you have one more for the same points of the unit that destroyed it.

Yes off course, but ruins can be farther away in your deploy zone. And you might not even have them .
