Anyway, I agree with not putting all those extra chemicals into your system. I was interested in those e-cigarettes for a while so I could smoke safe while being 'cool' and 'high tech' at the same time until I heard they might be worse than actual cigarettes.
In the end, it all boils down to the same things for everyone.. think of the health benefits, think of those you love, tell people you're quitting so you have that pressure to follow through, and just stick to it. Otherwise, you're going to have to deal with those disgusting graphic warnings they're getting ready to add to the sides of packs, and I dunno about you, but I have a pretty weak stomach when it comes to stuff like that lol
Remember, people are quitting all the time, so it's definitely not impossible.
Good luck :)

One of the keys to quitting is simply breaking that routine. Don't smoke your usual last cigarette of the night and expect to wake up the next day and not have an extreme urge to smoke your usual first cigarette. When I first decided I wanted to quit, I threw my pack into the garbage right then and there because part of your routine after finishing a pack is to buy another one. I was back to smoking about a week later, but after throwing a couple packs away, it eventually got to a point where I was going months without smoking.
I can't really say that I've quit for good because I still haven't gone a year without smoking and I actually bought a pack last summer, but I think it's safe to say that cigarettes don't control me anymore. I don't know if I'll ever fully quit because all this talk is kinda giving me an urge right now (!!!TILA ARMY SMOKE BREAK!!!), but I think not smoking regularly is way better than smoking a couple packs a day..

Just keep in mind that you're in control of yourself and no one's forcing you to buy another pack. Most people have to quit a couple of times before they're done for good. Remember that longtime smokers are quitting all the time, so there's no reason why you can't.
I've been off and on so many times that I can pretty much quit on demand now. It helps not to surround yourself with other smokers (especially while they're smoking!), and also let them know that you don't smoke anymore so they don't offer you any. Now when I think of smoking, I think about how nasty the smoke made my clothes and mouth.. and I think back to when I could tell I had halitosis breath, as opposed to now where my mouth is toothpaste fresh all day. Now I realize that I have a lot more energy and feel fresh all the time, and that's why I turn down cigarettes even when it's just one at like a party or something..
The benefits of quitting outweigh whatever you get from continuing, and you'll definitely see it once you're clean.
