Hi , I'm from Binghamton NY and am giving you an update. The Binghamton shooter was not an "IBM" employee but probably worked for manpower at IBM through their smash and dent part of the company. This is just another way big companies such as IBM have found a way to hire people and let them go. They hire them through the temporary services, let them work for a while and tmanpower gets rid of them because business is slow, they have to pay them more as they've been there a few months or because they've sold this part of the company. Yes, IBM has laid off a number of employees in our community. The part called smash and dent was just recently sold to a foreign company (Big Surprise). What happened to the good guyys?. Our community started with ENdicott JOhnson. This company not only hired people but had built homes that employees bought at cost. They were given health care etc. IBM used to be the same way. When you got a job there, you had medical care, decent wage etc. The founder of this once great company is turning over in his grave. The CEO's since the 90's have sold out this community and the country. They are shipping all jobs over seas and also bringing in foreigners with visa's to work in this country. And there excuse, there isn't any qualified professional workers. What a CROC. They're doing this while they laying off thousands of workers. And yes, we saw him with Obama. Big surprise.

I agree 100percent. We're going to have to get everyone motivated to do this. Perhaps by starting through this avenue and picking a few top priorities, we can get everyone on board to agree to some real change. The hardest is to find good people who can do this who don't get corrupted by greed, money and power.
