not exactly, cause MPG can vary so greatly depending on where i'm driving but yes, about 2-3 mpg more with regular gas vs ethanol. so 15 gallons of gas equals about 30-45 more miles driving on that tank. up to 2 gallons of gas saved. so actually at 3.60 per gallon. savings is probably closer to $5.

I understand ethanol is renewable fuel, but it HAS TO GET CHEAPER to make it worthwhile. and with corn and land prices as high as they are, that will never happen.

if you figure the extra 1.50 or so spent on a tank of gas for non ethanol, my car will get 2-3 more mpg. so, over an entire 15 gallon tank, I'll get an extra 30 miles or so (over a gallon) out of my tank. at 3.60 a gallon, that's a savings of over $2 per tank.

so, for me, I save money by NOT using ethanol

I have never understood how somebody can do this. why would you ever hit the gas that hard that you launch a car over a sidewalk and through a window. I have had my car in drive instead of reverse before, but when pulling out of a parking spot, I hit the gas so lightly that I moved less than a foot before I stopped and corrected the mistake.
anybody remember the lady who went through the front door of the stony point Y? it is what, 20 or 30 feet from the parking lot to the front entrance? HOW DO YOU DO THAT!

no, I absolutely do not advocate not doing anything. just saying toddlers are mobile and VERY quick! if they are inside, they can get out a door very quickly and in harms way before you even realize it.

I do walk around my car and when my children are outside, and i DO NOT MOVE until I have both of them in my sight.

you can take those 10 seconds to walk around your vehicle, and yes, you will make sure you don't run over a bike left in the driveway.

toddlers are another story. they move very quickly, and out of eye sight for just a few seconds they can be out the door to give mommy a hug before she leaves, and before you can get your keys in the ignition, the little one can be right where you just seconds before checked.

This was nothing but a horrible horrible accident. my deepest heartfelt sympathy and prayers to this family.

HOW HORRIBLE!!!! the life of a country kid is exhilerating and exciting but also so so dangerous. I have only ridden 3 wheelers a handful of times and they scared the you know what out of me, seemed so unstable. prayers with this young man's family and friends!!! can't even imagine the heartbreak :-(
