I think this is a pretty interesting topic,
modern home can be very comfortable but it also may be very distracting.
One more day! Been fun dreaming with you all! Had to stay away from blog, my daughter fixed the computer with a program which kept me out of it ~ but it was for my own good! I read the posts from people who are so desperate for this DH, please remember "God is in Control". Even a chance entry to HGTV doesn't change God's will. Whatever happens, I feel so blessed to meet new friends online, and also to relive some of my most wonderful memories watching all the clips of the Dream home, Kiawah, Charleston and the surrounding area! I hope I can still access them after the contest. Maybe I need to record the clips just in case! So beautiful!
I have my little piece of Spanish Moss from my grandmother's Palmetto tree, along with seashells collected at the beach displayed on a little glass shelf here in IL, even though I am here, always have a piece of the beach to look at!
Having my taxes done today, going to talk to a financial planner and figure out a way to realize my retirement dream to move! If nothing else, this contest has furthered my resolve. After tomorrow's drawing (I am still a Dreamer, after all!) I will look at the rental properties online and book my trip to either Kiawah or Seabrook this summer!
Keep on dreaming! May God bless all who entered. The winning family could use some prayers after they win also, I pray those who didn't will not judge and feel betrayed and more deserving. It is an opportunity, that is all that it is, and everyone has the same chance, this contest was not for the "most deserving!" Remember, it is supposed to be fun! I know, I felt I was taking it too seriously for awhile also, when I backed away, I could see much more clearly what I need to do. Most of all, a few of the bloggers reminded me that this could just be a tool in God's plan for me!
Have a great day and check back with you tomorrow!
I think I know why the ambush may have been delayed! With the winter storm across much of the Midwest yesterday, flights were cancelled, and the planes were not where they should be. Monica and the ambush team, we are ready now! So many people anxiously waiting! If you happen to be coming in to O'Hare airport (the one closet to me!) all is well, the drive and walkway are shoveled and we will happy to greet you! I can say by reading the comments in the blog ~ many of us are obsessing now! My productivity has gone way down, please give us another hint! My daughter just arrived home from school, and she thinks I have gone completely wacky (other than my normal wacky) and she stated: "mom, you are not on that blog again!". Talk about a turnabout, the teenager telling her mother to get off the computer! :) Keep dreaming everyone! I don't know how I am going to make it through to the weekend! I think I might need some type of hot toddy to settle me down! Running to the phone and answering every "private caller" call that ends up to be a sales call is driving me crazy too! Be careful Monica, take your time with that little one, but I hope you make "somebody's" dream come true soon!
thank you Cigirly! All the twists and turns in our life mean something, we don't always see it at the time, sometimes never understanding, but I know God has this! If anything, I believe this contest has made me realize the importance of certain things, as other kind bloggers have reminded me through this blog. I had to step away for awhile, not get too caught up, but think I have a good perspective about it now! Good luck or should I say God bless you!
thank you for the offer! We are trying to find a time each of us can get away to bring her to rest, I was just going to try and get a rental for a couple of days, but we will see if either one of us is the one! I will offer the same to you!
Great lyrics! Keep the dream going!
I like the way you think! Good luck to you!
I just found out something which will allow me to dream a little more about winning this home! Monica lives about a 40 min drive from my town, so she probably has heard of my town! Since she is so creative and talented, and I am sure knows many creative and talented people in the area - perhaps I am still in the running! I will allow myself to dream a few more days :) My angel in heaven Diane (43 year-old "little sis" who passed last May of breast cancer) - I am dreaming of this for all of us to go home to Kiawah! I will be taking her back to the beach, there is a special spot she wants to be where we used to watch the dolphins in between Kiawah and Seabrook. We will get there anyway, but would be so special to live there! With God, anything is possible, and I know that "God is in Control". Whoever the winner may be, they will be very blessed and I will rejoice with them. If it is not me, I know God has another path for me. I truly hope whomever wins can afford to stay there, it is such a beautiful home and I cannot tell you how wonderful Coastal living is, you have to experience the peace and fulfillment you will feel living alongside nature. I also pray for none of us to feel bitter about not winning, and to just know God has a different path, but that someway you will achieve your dreams!
When I think of creative and talented people, I think of Seattle! My small town would not be known to Monica for anything! Keep the dream going though, until the winner is announced! I do know I have been enjoying all the footage of the area, and the childhood memories which have come back to me as a result of this contest! I have full resolve and commitment to retire to this area in the not-to-distant future, Kiawah and the surrounding area is my "Paradise", I am going to make it my future for my family, if not this house, it will be another. All is in God's hands! So happy for Monica and her husband also! Many blessings to all those we have been dreaming the dream, and I know the winner will be so happy here in this home!
