lol. That is a hard choice.
I am reading a book called The Economics Of Liberty. It was written during the Bush years and in it it brings up a Bill called the Nunn Plan which was promoting national service. At the end of a certain paragraph it says,"Needless to say, a compulsory program would be an even more egregious usurpation, because the government would be claiming an ownership right to a portion of the time of its citizens. This would be temporary slavery." This struck a nerve with me because of the fact that Obama wants to require you to serve! Bologna!!! My children will be no slave. EVER!
Silly Rabbit!!!, You forgot to count the other 7 states he counted, when running as a candidate. He found 57 states somewhere and the 7 no one else knows about, must be full of Muslims.
Not a chance! I wouldn't give up a chance to let my voice be heard. Because I speak for my children at the booth until they are 18 and can vote on their own. The police thing is a great idea.
I'm a bit concerned about the polling places. I have always taken my children with me to vote, but I will think twice if I see a black panther standing there.
I'm 37 and am continuing to discover how deep this rabbit hole goes!
I have taken a little vacation from this site for sanity purposes. I am fit to be tied! I am also at a loss for words to describe how angry I am. We must surround ourselves with like minded individuals and be prepared for what these birthing pains are about to produce.
I just e-mailed it to my children's teachers! Thanks!
You seem to forget Marriage derived from religion not the government. Civil Unions can be derived from governments, marriage can be treated the same by government as Civil Unions can be, but marriage is sacred to religion and should not be infringed upon by non religious beliefs as you are trying to say, this is an infringement on religion, and you can not remove this from the argument as it is the argument, To force someone to recognize and change there religious belief is against there freedoms, to force Churches to marry a couple that the church does not believe is within the beliefs of the church is immoral. Again you are suggesting for people to go against there principles as most Progressives do. I personally can not give you an argument for not allowing civil Unions as long as they do not try to tie them to any churches that disagree with them. People need to stop trying to change religion and trying to change peoples beliefs to meet there own beliefs. When you try to dismiss the Church or religion you are falling into the progressives arguments, Which are screw your beliefs mine are the way, If people would stop trying to impose there beliefs upon each other this country would be in better shape, this is where the constitution comes in, it is telling you, you can do or believe anything you want AS long as it does not infringe on another 's Rights that have the same rights as you. If we all lived by this then we would have Liberty.
I am reading a book called Americanism, The Fourth Great Western Religion by David Gelernter. It explains that America is an idea, a belief, a religion! It explains what is truly distinctive about America and why we have such a special connection to national character. Easy to understand and very well written! One of the first lines is... "I believe in America." Many people have said so over the generations. They are not speaking of a nation. They are expressing belief in an idea, and not just any idea but a religious idea of enormous, transporting power. Isn't that cool? It is a really good read!
