Well, at least you have your dignity. Can't say that for a lot of these people. Question is, will you stand and do what it takes to take back your government when the time comes? Or are you full of hot air like the rest? A lot of people talking the talk, but it's still to be seen how many walk the walk.
Welcome to state politics. Right, left, yellow, blue, red........they're all after your money, and they don't give a damn what you think. It doesn't matter what you say because they know at the end of the day, nobody has a pair of balls to make any of them pay for what they're doing. So they'll smile for the camera and sign away more of your life to them. Because you let them. You let them have more and more control every day. Baaaaaaa.
Right. And my rubber band gun is a "dangerous device", too.......
Sad that this happened, and sad that this is what it takes to get people to wake up and realize that the police can't be everywhere, so you have to protect yourself. I applaud anyone who makes the hard decision to arm themselves for their and their family's protection, and I only ask this: If you had to, could you pull that trigger and end another person's life? Think long and hard on that and make sure the answer is yes, so that gun is an asset, not a liability. I definitely recommend training and practice.....get comfortable and familiar with your self defense tool so if the time comes, you know how and when it's legal to use it.
I do have to agree that I heard much much worse lines from everyone that was so big on hating "GW", and more than one that expressed the clear desire to see him dead or worse. But this was OK at the time, because it was "popular". True desire for violence on either side, from anyone, is questionable. Violence is the very last and least desirable option for any true patriot......but the possibility must be kept to prevent those who would do so from running unchallenged over our rights and freedoms.
I don't trust the media to report the true story on this.....but if it was said in the way it sounds, then I have to shake my head. I agree with the general sentiment on the tea party movement, that we need real change and leadership that is FOR and BY the people, not totally against them like currently......but I don't think we are nearly to the point of threatening physical violence yet.....I honestly hope we never get there in my lifetime. We all must be diligent against those who would subvert our freedoms and undermine what makes this country great, but we also must realize that most who would do so, do so thinking they are doing what's best, and are not malicious at heart. We must win these people's hearts and minds, and we won't do that with threats of violence.
For the most part, we are making forward progress with keeping and restoring freedoms, and not losing them. Keep in perspective how things are and although it is easy to lose faith, we must maintain composure and decorum. If things get to the point where we must take up arms to defend our freedoms, then no words need to be said.....actions will speak louder than any words we could speak. Idle threats now do nothing but push fellow Americans apart when we all should stand together.
"I may fervently disagree with what you say, but I will defend to the death your right to say it....."
Not a huge fan of BK anyways, but I do enjoy a burger from them from time to time. I did try their "Joe" coffee this weekend and it was the most disgusting thing I think I've ever had the displeasure to have grace my lips. Anything has to be a step up from that, and Seattle's Best is a decent step. I really happen to like Boyd's coffe though, their Hi-Rev line is pretty good.
+1....absolutely.....I don't agree with everything the guy says, but you can't fault how he treats criminals.....you break the law you go to jail.....and jail is not a pleasure cruise. You shouldn't want to come back.
Absolutely. The problem isn't the police like so many think. First, nobody has the capability or desire for self defense anymore. They think it isn't going to happen to them and/or they think the police will magically save them. Neither is true. The police will do everything they can to find the punk after he kills you for your wallet with 5 bucks in it, but that won't help you much. Only you have the ability and placement to defend yourself from violent attack. The likelihood of being attacked is low, but it's certainly not non-existant. Simply be aware of your surroundings and make yourself a "hard target". Criminals like this want easy targets, people distracted, not paying attention, and they want the most reward for risk.....make sure you don't look easy, and you don't seem like a walking ATM. If you are so inclined, carry a weapon for protection. Gangs....gang up on people. You don't stand a chance against 5 punks, unless you have something to even the fight. Just food for thought.
Got a 2005 Impala, love that car, was so tired of driving foreign cars that didn't fit me, and felt like a horrible box on wheels. No life to them whatsoever. I feel a little excitement, a little smile creeps on my face when I get behind the wheel of my American made auto......and it gets 25 mpg in the city.......
