Robot Nittany Lions and robot teachers? Wow, I didn't see that in the survey results, but if you say its coming we need to get prepared.

We'll be releasing the full survey results in a week or two. We are still trying to make sense of some of the data, but this is one way we work to make sure we are addressing student needs. The more you tell us and the more we ask the closer we get to solid technology services.

Hi Steve ... we are indeed talking to our colleagues at Purdue about this. We've done quite a bit of work looking at how multi-channel discourse can impact teaching and learning. As a matter of fact my colleague, Scott McDonald, teach a graduate course related to Disruptive Technologies in Teaching and Learning (CI 597A) where we investigate these kinds of tools. Hi Jerry ... yes, we will be releasing the report very shortly. I am using the draft ... I am guessing we'll be finished in the next week or so. I'll post a link to it here when it is live. Karen, you got it! Steve mentioned it this morning at a meeting we were in and I asked if I Could share the word. I went to work and was able to easily give myself more space. Very cool.

Chris, you nailed it! As more people use Blogs to manage so much of their digital lives I think giving them ample space is now a requirement. As far as dropbox like functionality, we are thinking of ways to do something close to that. Stay tuned!

I do see how the long column could discourage people from reading the whole way down. What I haven't been able to really test is how well the voting would work with lots of people hitting a single page.
