Saving Grace, I'm in your camp. This is such a deeply divided issue that it is quite hopeless to try and rationalize our side of the argument on this forum. Peace to you!
Lookitsme, you're deploying the old double standard, which is the same old, tired argument. Okay, I promise not to legislate based on my specific religious beliefs if you promise not to push your liberal. slanted agenda as something that should be mainstream.
Come on liberals, I want some more thumbs down! The more the better.....
Sorry LocalLady. I am a Christian, yes. As such, it is my duty, and I am directed by Jesus to rebuke and comdemn what the Bible teaches is wrong. You must understand: if something is wrong by the Bible it is our duty to rebuke, not to sit quietly on the sidelines hoping that things will get better. That does not mean that I hate gays. To the contrary: I've had many gay friends, neighbors, and family members who are gay. These are people who I have cared for and have loved. And that does not mean that I am perfect or without fault either. You can label me as a "right winger," "bible thumper," or "self righteous." But I am also the first person to help a person in need, give to charities, and hold the door open at the store. Let's all be careful about labeling groups of people. Lets just say that we have some major philosophical differences.
This is not a Christian "stance." It is what is clearly articulated in the Bible. Yes, go ahead with the multitudes of thumbs down. Persecution is nothing new to Christians either.....
Magic8Ball, this will never change. There are very very few "unbiased" media sources.
I concur, Timothy. A person is in the street, bleeding, and the person doesn't want to get involved? Yes, quite appalling. They should be prosecuted as well. Incredible lack of judgement.
You've got to wonder about the parents or guardians of these teenagers. Most likely terrible role models. Products of their environments.
Don't give a rip about what some union reps have to say about this particular subject. Opinions are like ***holes: everyone has one.
Won't do a bit of good. This is just a political ploy to make it look like she's trying to do something. Ridiculous.
SG_1, I like your attitude! Unfortunately these types of break ins are getting more and more common. We need to take the responsibility to protect ourselves and our families. It's hard to rely on law enforcement, especially in rural settings where response times can be very slow. As law abiding citizens its up to us to leverage our 2nd ammendment rights.
