I was just waiting to hear what time this guy would get... interesting the guy who killed the Mishawaka cop got 31 yrs, judge miller stated that she was giving him the highest sentence ever because of who was killed and killing a cop is the worst of the worst. arent our children, sons, uncles, loved ones as important? make the laws the same for everyone, no life is worth more than the other!!!!!!!!
and... a man in mishawaka recently kills a mishawaka cop while driving under the influence and got 30 plus years! its a joke!
Whether it is a bad place or not, the only reason blue jeans was targeted was because they thought “Divine” was there the guy who was responsible for the death of an officer. Now, they have to roll with it because they already opened the can of worms. They don’t care about anything else or any other establishments. People have been "killed" at other local bars and they never got shut down. The former heart land has had several.Then again, people have killed normal people by way pf DUI and they only got a slap on the wrist. Divine got the highest sentence ever, 31 years. Interesting to me.

Mixie, The comment referred to Hispanics as a hole, and toilet stated it that way labeling all hispanics, there are plenty of Hispanics that were born and raised here, pay taxes, live the American dream and are Americans! And i know plenty of hard working Hispanic American Citizens whom dont beleive it is right either. If you’re referring to people whom are here illegally, then state it correctly, not in a racist way as labeling them all.

The officer initially reported that Neely tripped getting out of his car and fell on the ground, breaking his knee cap, no mention of Neely being struck by his police car in the initial report. The officer lied! McKinley’s actions violated four different sections of the department’s duty manual, including improper use of a police car and unnecessary force. It is not ok to lie and use your vehicle as a weapon, no matter who you’re chasing. It is his job and he should respond accordingly, as he was trained to do. We all have rules and guidelines to follow at our jobs, so does this cop. He didn’t follow them, deliberately hit him, so he should be disciplined according, as we would. On the other hand, I wouldn’t want that job, requires a lot of restraint (Im sure it is hard stay composed in all situations) and I give much credit to those disciplined and the honorable police that protect us.
I’m so tired of the inconsistencies with the law and prosecutors, the average Joe can get no justice around here, and the criminal gets slap on the hand. If it’s a high profile, they go above and beyond punishing criminals, giving record sentences. How can they drop a Class A felony “Murder” as part of a plea and give her a Class C “assisting a criminal”. The prosecutors should be ashamed of them selves!

Driving is a privilege, not a right – that applies to everyone. Personally I would have no problem doing this, I could almost bet that EVERYONE has drove while drinking at least once in their life. I’m pretty sure when they did they never consider the fact they could take someone’s life, rather hope they don’t get pulled over or take the back roads to avoid police, some might not even remember how they got home. Something needs to be done!
