So we should ban people from Canada and Mexico since they are 'bordered' by a country that has infections. I am just using your same logic.
Have you heard a peep about the 123 possible infectees that the US was looking for? Do you know for sure that that information has not been securely clamped?

Maybe the government needs to look at the lessons from Nigeria to learn how to deal with Ebola rather than to take these useless and arbitrary decisions. Nigeria tackled the virus with a focus on containment. They discouraged physical contact, hugging, shaking hands, etc. They made school children wash their hands whenever they changed classes and generally evoked a sense of awareness and alertness among the population ...without evincing fear.

And they did so without banning citizens from the two countries where their first two cases originated.

So Faud, you have a rational argument for the ship berthing at PaP but keeping an irrational and arbitrary ban in place. This can only make sense if you have two different justifications. So whats the justification for the ban on Nigerians?

Promised to stop posting here but this action is too stupid to leave alone.

So was she sent back because she was Nigerian and black or because she showed signs of infection?

Where was she for the past three weeks during the incubation period of the disease?

Why weren't all of the other passengers on that flight turned back or quarantined?

If this woman used the plane's on board toilet and eight other persons used the same toilet then where are these people now?

Were they allowed to land and are now scattered throughout Trinidad and Tobago?

Nigeria has not had a new Ebola case for 73 days but Houston had two and they are busy looking for the 123 people on the flight with the nurse that died and he people they also came into contact with. Do we have the same procedure for 'no-entry' people coming from Texas?

The government is aware that if we get one Ebola case here that we should expect 'no-fly' from ALL american countries?

By the way are our ships pilots, customs and immigration officers still boarding ships that bring crude from Nigeria to Pointe a Pierre and are the crew from those ships still allowed to come ashore, and how is their wastes being handled?

Lastly, if India gets an Ebola case will we finally see the backs of those long running 'Expos'?

That was my yesterday instantly deleted post. Today I've heard about action from Ptrin. Now why wasn't that expected by Fraud and Gary. Big men taking advantage of a poor defenseless woman, let's see how you deal with this loop from Roget

Rules? Your'e quoting rules? When one of your pp ministers was allegedly caught on tape in possession of an illegal substance you joined the chorus clamoring that the law should be amended, now you come claiming "rules"

Sprang, allyuh can't keep changing the rules to suit yourself, its called dishonesty.

Sprang, Nigeria currently has no new Ebola cases and Senegal has been declared Ebola-free. Now the US had two dead cases and they are frantically looking for 123 people who were on a flight with the nurse that died. Now which nationals would you ban?

And I suppose that the people attending Ramlella festival and the Divali nagar are immune, right?. While at it why not close the malls, shut down maxis and buses, include CAL and empty all swimming pools. Don't forget to cordon off Maracas beach.

Why don't you concentrate instead on advising a comprehensive education program, a tried and tested response for our health system, an effective monitoring and response plan at our port of entries and setting up of isolation units away from hospital in easily secured areas.

What is your problem with carnival?
