1. The humans represent the greatest good fro the greatest number... utilitarian thinking. Their actions were endorsed by the government. All sorts of military support even though some of the troops were mercenaries.
2. The Navi were extremely conservative. Set in their ways. EXTREMELY RELIGIOUS. Traditional values. Tribal. Every definition of a conservative society. They believed in mythology, spirits, deities.
3. The fight was a property rights fight, plain and simple. That and the destruction of rights. Remember KELO, that was voted in place by the LIBERAL members of the supremes. The collective of humans seized the property for the greater good. They also labelled the Navi as non-moral agents to allow them to seize the property.
4. The corporation was not a free market entity and it most certainly was grossly inefficient. Nobody really strip mines anymore and there was plenty of that unobtainium in the floating mountains. Everything they did was a mandate and a monopoly, NOT a free market enterprise. Any free marketer would have simply pursued cheaper routes to prosperity ie mine the floating mountains or traded with the Navi.
5. The humans were the assimilators. The schools, the attempts to indoctrinate the Navi. The intolerance to diversity. The treating of the Navi as savages due to their religious beliefs. The our way or the highway attitude.
The fact is Avatar promotes free market ideas, conservatism, religion, property rights and the concept that one can resist assimilation into the collective and can resist the greatest good for the greatest number ie utilitarian thinking. In their rush to be counter culture all Cameron and progressives have done is expose what crony capitalism is and how the government supports and promotes violence against the helpless and different.

And that is fraud and is illegal and certain people should have been charged. Instead Frank and Dodd get to retire with their fat F&F bonuses.

I met Breitbart two years ago on the National Review cruise. Very nice guy. Very approachable. His wife and kids were also very friendly. It says a lot about someone in the way they treat people that can do them no good. He treated everyone with respect.
