True!! I guess I mean that while I'm grateful that Nicole is our benevolent overlord protecting us from the Deleted Commenters, i recognize that IRL free speech is necessary... And even when HRC is POTUS we'll still have lots of people trying to shout others down.

May we all have well-moderated comments sections where we can find sanctuary :)

I know Democracy is the...opposite of a carefully and wonderfully moderated comment section, like we've had here at the toast. Dissent and differing voices and free speech, all great and wonderful things! Lovely community of like-minded people works on the small scale! Countries have different rules!

But gosh, I cannot wait for this woman to be Head Moderator over the glorious mess that is America. I think the loss (not loss! transformation!) of this smaller community, is momentarily softened by the thought that our great screwed up nation could become just a little more Toast-like.

I remember that exhibit!! I haven't thought about it in forever but I clearly recall it was delightful and I had no idea paint-by-numbers was a thing adult people did before heading in, so I was all around astounded.

Eliza sounds like a perfect lovely lady cat and I'm sorry for your loss!

I'm super hashtag blessed when it comes to my cat. I got her on sale when the humane society was doing a special adoption fair promotion that was '80s themed, so all the staff were in leg warmers and the cat adoption fee was just $8 which was like 90% off the usual. I showed up late so most cats were gone but Mimi was still there, kneading her blanket AND her foster mom was there to vouch for her character as a total lap cat.

Ya'll, I don't deserve a cat this nice. I feed her grocery store cat food, and don't get her new cardboard inserts as much as she'd like, and snuggle her when she does not want it sometimes, and YET she will still come trotting in from another room to sit in my lap when I call her. Yesterday she curled up directly on my crampy uterus for a good hour like a magical purring heating pad. Overall we do okay with each other. A couple weeks ago after DC was dumped with two feet of snow and the building fire alarm went off I grabbed her in the carrier, but left the apartment without shoes. Survival instincts are weird.

Also, no one calls their cat by name right? When I address her, which is often, it's "Moofin" or "Butt" or "Are you a baby yes you ARE" and they all garner the usual response rate (close to zero).

I never bothered to learn the names either, EXCEPT the tweets just alerted me to the conspiracy theory that because Liam Neeson says 'Karen' instead of 'Carol' when meeting Claudia Schiffer, he's really in love with Emma's character. I don't care if it was immediately debunked, I want to believe!

I place all the blame on the Craig Armstrong theme!! If I didn't have that to scream-sob along to during the climactic airport/restaurant bit, everything would be 96% less effective.

Clearly I'm a proud member of trash squad that loves this movie :) Full disclosure, just last night I came home drunkish from work holiday party and watched it. And then snapchatted key scenes with captions and really messy hearts drawn over faces to all my friends, SORRY GUYS.
