What hypocrisy!!! This government has some of the loudest voices when it comes to racism and discrimination and yet when allegations are made against Sat Maharaj they are discarded just because Sat says he didn't say it? Something doesn't smell right to me yes!

Very well said. Such an adversarial approach befits the leader of the opposition and not the leader of our country. Granted her ultimate goal is to serve up the THA to Asworth Jack on a silver platter in 2013, the PM'smethod is unfair to the people of Tobago. For by thwarting the present THA from accomplishing anything, she is doing a really big disservice to the people of Tobago. Additionally, the people of Tobago have for years been calling for greater autonomy from central government, so they should carefully observe the moves of the present government who in fact seem to be attempting the opposite.

You are mistaken happapp this is no new initiative. Tickets are provided free for school children who choose to utilize the service. These students collect these tickets from their school's office on a weekly or monthly basis (I'm not sure of the regularity). Therefore, IF as you say you've seen children purchasing bus tickets, those students have chosen not to take the free tickets. This is quite easy to prove - just ask the next student you come across on the bus. So get your facts straight before you start calling other bloggers derogatory names.

Further, if this government plans to perhaps expand the programme so that students may now be able to board the buses without a ticket, once they are in school uniform, then kudos to them. Otherwise - as I said before - this is not a new initiative, so I really don't see why the government and their supporters are trying to pass it off as such.

In one year I did not expect any major reduction in crime or any drastic improvement in health care services or even a marked turnaround in the economy. For it is unrealistic to expect ANY government administration to produce such miracles in a paltry year.

However, we SHOULD have been seeing a government who would have stopped the campaigning, politricking, media posing, infighting and finger pointing and instead start to work on slowly but surely making a dent into our country's major issues. We SHOULD have been seeing less allegations of corruption and public mis-steps. So although my gravest wish is that this present administration would go back where they came from, I sincerely hope that if we are to be stuck with them for the next four years, that they get down to doing the work of the country!
