Oh man, so many great quote from that post! I love the lil bird-owl too! and also "N/A", and "FINE", but it's harder to tell that they are quotes from this post.

Oh oh oh also SOMETHING IN THE KEY OF GOURDS

(from Hey Ladies: Autumnal Shower. I fear Ali, but also really want to be her, because I am a terrible person and feel that my current lifestyle does not fully celebrate my terribleness).

Ooh, this is fun! And so doable now that all the Toast Looks Back posts are running to remind us of happier times!

I give you this, from Dirtbag Jason and the Argonauts:

JASON: a of all “and lover” is implied when you say squire
you don’t need to add it on
obviously we are all having sex with our squires
that is just a given
and second of b
if they’re BOTH missing
it cancels each other out

I now use "a of all and second of b" regularly, and the only reason I am not having sex with my squire is that I do not have one. (If anyone wants to submit Reasons Why I Would Make An Excellent Squire and You Should Consider Me For The Position, I would be happy to consider it).

These hymns seem to be all about Industry. Where's the hymn about the lilies of the fields, that toil not, neither do they spin? I would sing that hymn. Memorise the words, even.

Yes yes me tooooo! I remembered it was from Little Women, and in context of breaking up a tiff, but could not remember if Beth or Marmee had said it. I would have believed it of either. Meg, even, maybe.

What a lovely piece. I'm sorry to say I knew nothing at all about Quakers (to the point of naively assuming the oats *were* related to them), and am so glad to read about something so new to me!

Truly I tell you, right until the last paragraph I believed this thing was written by the dread goddess Mallory, may she live forever.

Dear Mallory and Nicole and Nicole and Marco and Jaya, so much love and so much thanks!

And to the rest of you too, lovely commentariat. I feel too sad for Reddit or Twitter right now. I will probably pull myself together and get there eventually, but I just don't feel witches enough right now.
