Good idea. And he could take Country Club & Eagle Heights with him!
Good program. SHP should present this at EVERY high school . . . EVERY high school should request it.
Congrats to west . . . they are having a great year and deserve recognition . . . no one is denying them. However, I must correct you on one statement "Everyone loves a winner" . . . the truth is that everyone loves a 'GRACIOUS' winner . . . no one likes an arogant blow hard.
Cynical is a very good moniker for you.
Politics at it's best . . . deceitful, underhanded and conniving! Just what taxpayers have come to expect out of Washington. The American people deserve better!!
"I will lock my doors at night, if there's a jail in Granite Quarry," Humphreys added. . . . ? Are you serious? Don't you lock your doors at night now? If you haven't been, you may want to start now that it's been posted in the local paper.
GT I wish you good luck with getting DOT to install a stoplight. I agree that this is a horrible intersection and no one deserves to die because of stupid drivers. What I don't understand is what is so magical about a stoplight. I've seen people run stop signs AND stoplights. Why would the same jacka$$ who runs a stop sign and a flashing red light, automatically stop for a stop light? Wouldn't these same idiots be likely to speed up at yellow lights? And wouldn't the people they hit be just as injured or dead? Stop signs and stoplights don't mean anything if there is not an officer there to issue a ticket. What this intersection needs NOW is to be patrolled on a regular basis.
People who won't stop at an intersection with flashing red lights, stop signs, orange flags AND rumples strips are not going to stop for a red light. Hopefully, the people who are blowing through these signs are just not use to it being a 4 way stop yet. Having police moniter the intersection (at least during peak hours) for the next few weeks should help . . . definitely won't hurt.
Mr. Clodfelter, where is your faith that God will see you through these hard times (personally & financially)? You may have had a job that moved to Mexico, but you still have a job as a pastor, don't you? That's 1 more job alot of people have right now, so why complain? Fervent prayer is your best option now. Whining in the local paper about how tough your life is won't help anything and doesn't seem like the best example to set for your congregation.
