ArthurW , I knew it was from Sat nite Live, but she was in favor of a strong defensive stand and that's what I really meant
Good points, Intense, My only concern about expanding the" two party" system is the " other" candidates never win. The closest any other party member came was Russ Perot. That being said, the democrats aren't remotely the same party I remember as a kid, and the republicans seemed to do a lot of back stabbing in the last election. I liked Sara Palin, though, she was a breath of fresh air, and I'm glad she could see Russia from her porch.
what about a claymore? overkill? Just kidding, of course, but up until now, the idea of owning any weapon (let alone an"automatic "weapon) scared the devil out of me, but if it ever comes to actually standing up to a tyrannical government, my bet is they won't just be carrying 22s After all these years of telling my husband "no way" I told him we needed to get a couple of rifles and handguns.
You have some really good points. Also very scary points
I agree with term limits also. I also agree with whoever said "being elected to Congress is to preform a service, not plan a career path". I also would like to see congress vote for one issue at a time so I could know what my representatives and senators are really voting for, not what they also" had to vote for", that they didn't really want, because it was part of a package deal
I know how you feel but if you list "no affiliation" then you lose your vote in the primarys
