DV is a serious issue we ALL need to be aware of. I'm glad there are people out there being the voice for the victims & making it a priority to end the violence. End the violence at home and the world becomes a better place.

I do have to say, though.. that I'm not a big fan of releasing the balloons. I understand the symbolism, but how environmentally unhealthy is it to do that? :(

I used to wonder who fell for these scams, but watching the show Intervention (on A&E) the other night, I totally realize there are people out there that do.

??? What? How is this a case of bad parenting? Bad parenting would be patting your kid on the back, or looking the other way. Turning your kid in for doing something wrong is bad parenting? Why are you blaming dad for something the kid did wrong?

this story makes me LOL ... I'm pretty sure I've never once in my life hear someone say they're afraid of their kids getting hit by a bike... LOL.. thats just comical to me.

This story makes me so sad. As a mommy to a 9 week old (rescued) puppy, I can't even imagine how someone could do this. Even when she gets on my last nerve, those little puppy eyes warm my heart... how can people treat animals this way?? How do cruel people sleep at night?

I hope these two pups (and every other pet out there!) find forever homes that treat them as family.

This is sad for so many people; the firefighters, the community they serve... My dad was a firefighter for 36 years (not in MI). Being a Firefighter isn't just a job, its who you are. What will happen to the Firefighters if they eliminate the dept? Will they be able to pick up shifts in the surrounding areas? Or will they just be SOL? It doesn't make sense why a city would want to eliminate the fire dept! Isn't there another way to cut costs that isn't life or death?

oh my gosh. how awful for these poor dogs. animal cruelty breaks my heart. this woman is lucky her full name wasn't posted..
and removal of the dogs could make things difficult?? pictures and other evidence should be sufficient, why make the dogs suffer any longer?? she's still to blame. Lisa and Ryan were hero's who stepped in to help those poor things.

i honestly feel this woman should be treated as she treated these dogs. only no one should have a heart and rescue her.

Sad situation all around. I feel bad for both Mr. Wagoner and his dog. Many dogs are aggressive near their food, or when they believe they are protecting their owners around strangers, or just being around little children when that's something they're not used to. My heart goes out to both Mr. Wagoner for possibly losing his best friend and to Shyrkee for being punished for what dogs "do naturally." I'm not saying that maybe putting the dog down isn't the right thing to do, but its still so sad to me.

My uncle had a dog that was part wolf, she was the sweetest and most gentle dog around, but she looked intimidating which is what scares a lot of people. *shrug* I hope this story comes out with a happy ending.
