On Tuesday, I found out that I'm pregnant! Yay for new babby (if it sticks.... pleasepleaseplease). As of today, I am 4 weeks and 5 days pregnant, if my calculations are correct. Husband and I are overjoyed! I was notified by my new pregnancy app that the wee blastocyst is currently the size of a red lentil, which I find hilarious and cute.
This coincides with a huge uptick in asthma symptoms, which I hear is something that sometimes happens for ladies on the nest. I had to visit the doctor to be prescribed a new corticosteroid inhaler for the next few weeks, and I am super paranoid that it might harm babby :(
Anyone with kidlets have experience with asthma in pregnancy?
I've been going to bed eaaaaarly (my record was 9pm last week! so proud) and eating more vegetables. I'm also getting hungry during the day at work, so have been packing myself nutritious and delicious snacks that I actually enjoy eating (like almonds, Mary's crackers and cheese, and hummus/crackers). Yay for self-care!

I would hug Nana so bad, because I nearly cry every time she gets in trouble at the beginning of Peter Pan. Mr. Darling is a huge dingus, we all agree on that, right?
(also when she barks at the children when they're leaving for Never Land. I also tear up then.)
I'm going on day 8 of bone-wracking coughing and general flu yuck. I feel your pain. Going to see if I can get in at my doctor's after-hours clinic tonight so that I can get some new asthma meds (my inhaler expired, ah, six years ago. Bad).

I LOVE this. Being creeped out by weird, real occurrences is my fave. I've read the Cracked article that features the Max Headroom intrusion probably 10 times, because I'm addicted to the shivers.
I just visited the New Forest last summer (I'm Canadian) and it was so lovely. I wondered if the donkeys I saw were tame, but since one started hissing (hissing!) at me as I approached, I decided "no". My grandmother grew up in Brockenhurst, so we went to see her childhood home. Beautiful place!
We're currently trying for a baby, only three more days until we can take the pregnancy test I've squirrelled away! I'm not looking forward to the storm of hormones and associated sickness/ravenousness/weirdness... but at the same time, I am, because that means babby. Hope you are successful in your battle against the cookies. Send any babby vibes my way!
