When did a tip become an entitlement? Yes, the story is fake but even if it weren't people are under no obligation to pay more for a service than billed. The story only demonstrates how liberals think that certain people, rich conservatives mostly, should pay more for everything and, to coin a phrase, spread the wealth around. Call me old school but if you want a tip you'll have to earn it, otherwise go get another job.

Abdullah_Mikail, I'm not looking to be a hero or impress friends and have no fear of getting "slapped down" over anything if I am proven to be wrong. I also have no concern as to whether you stay on this board or not. You initially posted on this board in the open, I replied in the open. I see no reason not to keep this debate in the open. If you slap me down it will be here for all to see and judge. If others care to make comments so be it - feel free to ignore them and focus on our conversation alone.

Abdullah_Mikail, please post a link to this amazing proof. There are more then enough sites available for you to anonymously upload this document(s) to. I'm sure I'm not the only one here who would be interested in such revelations.

No offense taken, _juice_. Your heart is in the right place but I doubt your words and koran/bible quotations will make much difference. 1. You are a Kafir (or at least Ahl-e-kitab). 2. I'm sure (in his opinion) your Koren quotations are "taken out of content". 3. The Bible (from his perspective) is corrupt therefore not to be trusted.

Perhaps the Holy Spirit will move him but I believe you first have to be searching and humble to receive the spirit of God. He believes he has his answers and has hardened his heart. Pride, the deadliest of the seven.

You're kidding, right? Even for a true believer that is stretch worthy of a yoga master. My friend pulsars don't emit sound, they emit radiation. The fact that you can run the signal through a speaker so that someone somewhere might think it sounds somewhat akin to knocking is meaningless. This faux sound does not even begin describe the nature of the element in question and this "explanation" wouldn't get you past the kindergarten level. If you are looking to logically support the Koren please look elsewhere.

I especially loved the Abu Zubaydah quote on page 24:

A former colleague of mine asked him during the conversation one day, "What would you do if we decided to let you go one day?" And he said, "I would kill every American and Jew I could get my hands on." And he said, "It's nothing personal. You're a nice guy. But this is who I am."

"the children are still in urgent need of assistance, including the restoration of basic services and the immediate reconstruction of schools and hospitals,"

So what? Let their elected government see to their needs. Oh, they're not? Guess that was a bad choice then. Democracy can be a bitch sometimes.

I don't trust this either. I think you are right about too many witnesses. UN to Hamas: Come on guys, stop being so obvious - it makes us look bad!

Austrailian, thanks for your response. I will argue some points:

1. Propaganda, based on spinning real events (Abu Ghraib) or simply fabricated (Gitmo Koran flushing), will be used regardless of what we do.

2. OK, I get it. You deem waterboarding torture. I will disagree but I think a debate on this specific issue would be pointless. Know that, according to MSM reports, only 3 people have ever been waterboarded.

3. I agree. But in time of war, when information timeliness is critical, waiting around for Perry Mason to sum up can cost lives. It's not perfect for sure but war never is.

4. While I do not agree that waterboarding is torture, the 3 that have been waterboarded have, by all accounts, provided credible and actionable intelligence that thwarted actual terrorist plots. They had resisted all other forms of interrogation, waterboarding was the last option.
