Sometimes the whole REASON someone is fat is because they became disabled, and drugs with nasty side effects. Or that's why they are extremely thin.

We need to stop judging other people's bodies, period.

I am so sorry your mother suffered so much for her disease, and hope she is feeling better now. It's awful to feel ill AND to feel like the whole world is judging you because your body doesn't look right (to them).

What I really loved about the book is the way it challenges the assumptions we have about relationships, freeing us to build them in a way that works for US. Your relationship as an Ace is just as important and valid as anyone else's. Thanks for speaking up and sharing. :-)

Right? But it's this monogamous mindset that is part of what's so problematic for me. It's not enough that the current laws state you can only be married to one person at a time when we're alive, it's the idea that people feel they have to argue about who his REAL love is/was when the poor man is dead. We are fixated in our culture on The One True Love, not making room for the reality that many people may have more than one.
