This is a great idea, thanks for setting it up and Elyse for thinking of it.
I just joined, my name is Brooke. Been sitting way too much lately and this may help me get off my ass a bit more. I had to quit running this year because of a knee injury, so that hasn't helped.

I wouldn't call myself an expert at polymer clay, but in a pottery class I took recently I used some very crinkled up card stock and regular paper to get a similar effect to what you're looking for. Coffee beans might be helpful to make a whole-oat look...? Hope that helps in some way!

Congratulations and thank you so much for creating such a great site! I am really happy to have found it and it pleases me to no end to know there are people out there who see things in a similar (or in a completely mind-bending different way) as I do. Thanks!!

I was wondering the same exact thing just now. I'm coming in from Houston and just realized other than this comment thread I have zero way of knowing who is who at the Tavern. (Me: tall, red hair, and have no idea what I'll be wearing yet.)

This was a great read, funny and totally relatable. My favorite line by far was "Pigtails, we all know, are like a dog whistle for penises." I laughed out loud here at my desk.
As for tips, the best thing I've found for my previously thick, now thinning hair is prenatal vitamins. My hair and nails grow so fast and healthy during times I remember to take them regularly. The only catch is that if you color your hair like I do, the fast growth means you have to cover your roots more often.

Yes, I'm gonna make the road trip from Houston for it and everything. Is it weird that I'm a little nervous about it?
