When I was "secretly" reading all of my mother's paperbacks and as many as I could sneak out of the library when I was about 11, I used to judge whether a romance was good or not by whether the couple had sex by page 100.

Oh god yeah I judge my milk so hard. I'm not super picky about the espresso, but milk that tastes scalded or just gross or has absolutely no foam? 🙅 And you can tell before you get it from the sound ugh. Or when the barista walks away while they just leave the wand in the steaming pitcher. 😐

Here's me kissing Ruby, the new puppy we adopted last Saturday!! She's actually around a year old, very cuddly, already house trained, not very into being alone but we're working on it, and very curious! We think she's a lab/Jack Russell mix but she's basically a lab-ish super mutt <3

ughhhh now I want a caftan (or several) to be my funemployed-in-New-Orleans uniform this summer. I am getting my Masters, surely I deserve to spend a month or so not wearing pants.

I think that's pretty harsh. I support Hilary because I honestly do believe in an incremental-change approach to change at the top.

I do see and understand the desire to have one person in Washington advocating for your interests. What I see as naive is the expectation of how much impact that one person can have; it's similar to the frustration I see progressives have with Obama and not seeming to understand that he's constrained in what he can do, for both political reality reasons and separation of powers, checks-and-balances reasons. To have actual change, you need more than One Person in Washington advocating for your position, you need an entire party or subset of the party.
