Impressive amount of detective work on this, as usual; it's amazing how much you can extrapolate from a big collage of images like that! I didn't even know there was a mobile game in development at one point; wonder if that would have emulated the Gameloft MLP game or been its own kind of thing.
Rose and Lynn being best buddies at the end was really sudden and jarring; all it takes is running through the woods in the rain and a song for all of Rose's creeper-behavior (like brushing someone's hair at night!) to be forgiven, and somehow making it seem like Lynn was just as in the wrong as Rose for not enjoying being stalked and liking...different things? Rose was trying to be friendly, but just undoing everything in someone's room and interfering with their business makes Rose a bit hard to empathize with. It was also kinda funny that the faculty of Funtasia didn't do anything to find the two in the woods during the storm and just kinda hoped it'd all work out; I'd think their parents would be upset if anything happened to their kids!
Ponies and Fillies alike are probably a bit too trusting of others for their own good.
Love how this episode confirmed to me that our favorite Witchy Filly, Lynn, is probably Neutral Evil; she'd have just let those twins get eaten if no other Filly was around. Will charging bravely forward to fight the plant with a rake was also very endearing, despite failing over and over; I'd think that a giant carnivorous plant in the garden would be reason to call in the faculty. That'd be a lot more responsible than trying to solve a campus-threatening hazard with your friends, Rose.
His prediction did turn out right in the end...but yeah, taken out of context, all Cedric did in the final arc of this episode was preeeeeetty questionable, to say the least. Drugging a fellow student and locking her in the basement doesn't do much for a Prince's reputation; maybe Rose just really liked being the lead role and looked the other way?
We all forgive him in the end, because he's Will, and Will is awesome.
The antics between Will and Lynn during this episode were also pretty fun, got a sense of them being frenemies of a sort; hopefully we'll see them pulling pranks on the others and each other more during the series. The animation wasn't...great, but the music in the Italian dub is pretty chill. Wranglum's power to conjure illusions or minions seems amplified within the maze, but what his powers in the mirror even ARE remain pretty nebulous; they seem to be whatever the plot needs, basically.
I mean, he's not wrong there...Probably not going to have much success with broken crown-gems or conjuring up their magic mirrors from whatever demi-dimension the Fillies stow them if that happens, though.
As an MLP fan who has been looking forward to seeing this show finally come out after all these many years of...whatever the heck this all was, I'm kinda still shocked that FF is even here at all, given how much legal wrangling that's been going on behind the scenes. Thanks for all the information and the timeline of the toys/brand over the years, it's a whole lot of material to keep track of for people who only first heard of it in those initial trailers.
