Hawkweed, thanks but that doesn't really help. I've checked pretty much everything online. LL pretty much answers my question so guess patience is in order! Appreciate your try.

Thanks.....that's what I wondered, if eventually, at least, we might catch it online. We know the local carpentry crew and were hoping to see them, but guess we'll just have to be patient.

Acadia is truly lovely: mountains and the sea with old carriage trails to walk or bike.

Sorry back at you,AES. I did not take your statement as offensive. I just think there are many people who do not live in Maine who have this picture in their head of Mainers as you described. And while there are some Mainers like that, there are as many other Mainers very different from that description as there would be anywhere else. I guess the point is it's tough to generalize about any group of people!

Well, there are really lots of Maines, and that one might be a little oversimplified!

Sorry, I wasn't even responding to your comment, but an earlier one by someone else. I did see the published size, but I've seen it, too, and find it difficult to believe that it could be that big.

It really isn't a big house!

We built a home with a fireplace in the bedroom. We had one fire there over 19 years. That one fire (in the winter) made the room so hot it was uncomfortable. I wouldn't bother!
