Ummm..they *commented* on it five days later. The fine was *reported* well after the incident. That doesn't mean it wasn't handled swiftly.
I, too, would love to see Cena turn heel, but I think we can all agree it's not happening anytime soon. But moreso than all the merchandise sales and charity work, think about the current makeup of the roster; with the expected Orton heel turn coming, it would leave the face side of the roster completely barren. If Cena turns heel, who does he feud with in the coming months? Who are your top faces? Sheamus? Then...Del Rio? Big Show kind of? Daniel Bryan kind of? After that you get into the Kofi Kingstons and Miz's of the world. I guess you could turn Ziggler, but even then a continuation of that feud doesn't make sense storyline-wise given their recent history and Dolph's MITB aspirations. Who else would be turning? Not Orton. Not Punk, given that he just bathed in a dead man's ashes on television. Jericho is going away. Lesnar is a part timer, and it's tough to turn him as well. WWE hasn't built nearly enough credible faces, or interesting faces (because only heels are allowed to be layered these days) to be able to mitigate a Cena turn. That more than anything is why it won't happen, I think. At least not at 'Mania.
First of all, lay off me, alright? Wrestlers who have been champion 428 days are able to financially compensate quite well.
Second, perhaps the sudden endorsement of Maddox by Heyman and the banning of any *superstar* from interfering (plus Cole's repeated reminders to Maddox that he doesnt work there) in the title match foreshadows a ref bump and Maddox Screwjob 2.0 at the Rumble? I certainly wouldnt mind, as it would mean another couple weeks of Rock v Punk.
It was already mentioned above that they had other obligations. Maybe they tried and didnt get them? Regardless, it seems unfair to criticize them for not bringing in legends when they didnt advertise them. People wondered last week why the only person they seemed to advertise for this show was Dr. Shelby; well, the only other two legends who appeared were meant to be surprised. Maybe that's why. My problems with the show had everything to di with quality; I specifically agree with you on the Ziggler matches and the way they've been laid out. But, as far as the legends are concerned, I didnt care less either way, and since they never claimed they'd have any, that wasn't really disappointing to me.
