side note. Before I found out that less than three was supposed to be a sideways heart, I thought it was lips puckering for a kiss.

I don't really have anything to say that hasn't already been said, but I also don't want to let the last OT go by without commenting. So I'll just say thank you. To Nicole, Nikki, Mallory, Marco, and all you lovely toast commenters.

You know, I went into university a person raised in a conservative christian environment and was profoundly changed by the people I met there. The Toast has been the same. I have grown in ways I can see and I'm sure ways that I will never see. Thank you for making me a better person.

This is going to get buried but...I knew a guy who worked on Street Cents. I met him in library school. He did research for the show. When he first mentioned he worked for the show in class, a bunch of us were like REALLY?! TELL US MORE!

So I might be going to New Zealand this fall....if I think I can afford it. My questions: how expensive, relatively, did you find it? And what would you recommend while there?

I'd love to know what your Tokyo recs are (unfortunately, I cannot offer recs for the cities you name in return)

I mentioned this below, but DWJ has written an essay which explains Fire and Hemlock. It's in Reflections. Plus there's an essay I found online after I read the book and wanted to see if someone on the internet could explain it to me. Someone in the comments said she showed it to DWJ and the author of the essay has the right idea. There's a part two that I can't find, but I'm pretty sure I saved it somewhere so if you want it let me know!
