What does everyone think about this new Tea... I mean Cigarette Tax?

I personally am against smoking. It is a very bad habit. I don't agree with smoking but I respect the right of other citizens to choose for themselves. The government regulates this stuff, they know it is bad for us yet they take a kickback in the form of taxation. Profit from us destroying ourselves.

Of course my comment didn't get posted. I just feel like asking what is next. First it was tax the guy that got a bonus 90% even though our fearless leaders gave them the tools to give the bonuses... now we are taxing our citizens to death on a substance that is completely legal to have. I ask you what is next? What do you think about this stuff. I feel like as a populace we just let these politicians run rampant with no real sense of what America really stands for anymore.

As a 30 year old American I am disgusted and wish I was born Canadian.
