Good question. I don't know how YALSA would make that call and I hadn't thought of it when I wrote the post. For my purposes, I guess debut should mean debut, regardless of language.

Yes, I'm afraid so. If it was a book and it had an ISBN and you were the author, that was your debut.

That is my understanding. Self or traditionally published, your first book is your debut.

First published book-length work of any kind. I'm going by YALSA's Morris Award rules.
