I have always said the day DNF is released is when I will finally upgrade to a gaming PC capable of doing it justice. Now there's a real chance it might actually happen, I have no money. Perhaps if I had put a quid in a piggy bank every time I read a story about how it was nearly done I would now have, erm, about twenty five quid.

Anyone want to buy a 486 DX2 66? Slightly used. It has VESA graphics and a Soundblaster clone.

Then the IRS will have to defrost Judge Dredd to catch him.

I do like the Mercury capsule idea because it fits with the "Godspeed, John Glenn" reference, but I would make it a bit bigger and put it on top of an Atlas booster (just the top part; most of it would be off-frame).

If you could permanently kill off one current TV series and bring back a previously cancelled show to replace it, which two would you pick?

Two things bother me slightly about the designs with the Mercury capsule:

1. the capsule is way out of scale WRT Josh.

2. where's the booster rocket?

That aside, the Strangelove/Flashdance riding the rocket to oblivion pose is good.

I like the first astro-Josh. He needs some mission patches on his sleeve though. And a monocle.

This comic has so many brilliant touches - you've out-done yourself. I'm going to have to start cutting the corners off the paper when I write to people now. The thought of Adama giving your eulogy over the Galactica's intercom cracked me up.

I'm also one of those poor unfortunate Brits stuck with the "should I wait months for the DVD to come out over here" dilemma.

"So say we all!"

I got an even cheaper bundle with a Creative-branded 2x Panasonic CDRom drive and an odd no-name ISA sound card that was almost but not quite completely compatible with the Soundblaster 16. The drive used some weird proprietary interface that connected to a port on the sound card. No bundled speakers, so I connected it up to my ghettoblaster.

When I eventually did get a printer, it was a HP Deskjet 500C, which could only take either a three-colour cartridge or a black cartridge, not both at the same time, so black areas on colour prints came out as a muddy dark greeny-brown and used the ink up in no time.
