you're right that my queerness and transness (and they are separate things, though very closely linked) plays an essential role in my emerging spirituality. maybe that will diminish over time? right now everything in my life is INCREDIBLY INTENSE ALL THE TIME, and i kind of dig it, but i don't know if there's a crash coming at some point in the future. still, there's no way it couldn't, just because it's part of the totality of me as a person, just as your queerness is for you. i'm sure if i'd been raised in a more strictly religious home, i would have been even more inclined to what you said; as it is being raised more or less liberal and agnostic about everything has left me very open to exploration. it's pretty great, but yet another point of privilege that i recognize not everyone has.
