i'd like that only for the mere fact that we could condense some belts and add others (womens tag belt). Other than the initial first few weeks, the ratings will still most likely be the same.

Major narrative changes are the only thing that would make the needle move in any significant way

now look i think ratings ARE still important in today's landscape.... but now when Raw ratings are 3.3, 3.2, 2.9, 3.4, 3.5, 2.8, 2.7 etc. That isn't anything. That's stagnant, flatline numbers...and clearly, based on the new tv deals...those numbers are more than enough for networks.

Now if say the ratings for 2018's May-August was like... MAJORLY DOWN..from last years, then you could say "woah, what went wrong". But they're not.

vince and the wwe "still got it" when it comes to this lesnar thing. how they managed to work so many fans is nothing beyond astounding. They turned what was a very mild "eh...im kinda done with this lesnar title run" to "THIS GUY SUCKED..WORST CHAMP EVER.. AHHH... I NEED THE BELT THATS ONLY EXISTED FOR TWO YEARS TO BE DEFENDED WEEKLY AHH"

how on earth do you write about ratings on a weekly basis and never come to the conclusion that their more indicative of the time of year than anything. Why did raw go over 3 again? Because its the monday after summerslam... that's it. That's the answer. Why did ratings go down on the 3rd hour> Because they have 99% of every monday for years.

These things you point to not being draws.... they're not advertized until the show starts most of the time. I mean, a monkey could understand this.

Thought summerslam was great. Awesome variety of matches and outcome. Good pacing. A few matches had solid wrestling and the whole thing felt like a spectacle.

And no one is blaming AJ for SD's ratings...only fools like you think "who is champion" makes a lick of difference to ratings. Meanwhile the raw and sd ratings havent moved at all in years. The ratings are stagnant. Nothing but a major shift in story telling and era change would make the needle move in a significant way anymore.

i cant' believe how many wrestling fans got so massively worked with this lesnar stuff. Yes, him being a champ got kinda worn out and it was time for something new, but up until i'd say... last Mania, he was a legit mega champ of the company.
