Why the need to target the Chinese again and again? Why don't we reflect upon the failures of UMNO/BN and learn from any lessons derived? Pls remember that even children don't necessarily obey their parents nowadays.

If that is indeed the case, then the blame goes to MOE.. why are there no clear directives to school principals on when renovations to schools can be conducted, in the interest of the safety of students?

I think you might be right. Also, it used to be the practice that fasting students have to go to the hall for agama lessons / prayers during recess, while non-fasting students go to the canteen.

Perhaps the Ministry of Education should build on top of toilets, classrooms, halls, canteens, shower/changing rooms in schools, they should also look into building rest areas/rest rooms and even libraries for schools.

It is very sad to see young children forced to take their breaks, do their homework and even take their naps (as shown in a photo in FB yesterday) in the shower room. No matter how clean the room is, it is still too warm and humid for any purpose other than taking showers and having a change of clothes. If children are made to spend long hours in there, they may get arthritis in future. If this is the way our government is taking care of our children, then it is no wonder kids are falling ill to all sorts of diseases at ages that are getting younger and younger.

I would also like to urge the Ministry of Education and Ministry of Health to look into health issues of making children as young as 6/7 years old to fast. I worry that these children will become obese and/or contract diabetes later on in life. I wonder if it is a poise for the powers that be to control the citizens.. i.e. make their children fast at a young age so they cannot concentrate in class, grow up healthy, obtain good results and thereby threaten their rule? I also wonder how many ministers and/or religious teachers have children who have to fast in schools?

I agree with you, Mr Ravinder.
