"Gas stations make pennies on the gallon." Interesting statement..........the fuel tanks were filled last week and the price has jumped 20 cents a gallon in the meantime......who collects the extra funds ?

Most persons that have a bountiful account do not notice the 'use' of their funds for a few days.....all though the funds are returned slightly dirty.

We would have never caught this if my wife was not balancing the check book on line when I drove to town to buy essentials including fuel ($ 10.00 worth)......(subaru).

Anyway after returning from town the book keeper asked me if $ 40.00 dollars of fuel was purchased

And the investigation began.....

In my research to discover more about this practice I contacted several banks and learned that the same "over charge' is also being used in Newport for high end restaurants and motels......

Here on the Oregon coast that has the highest prices for fuel in this state ($ 4.29 a gallon for reg.today), the gas stations have another dirty trick that few persons are aware of. If you use a debit card, the stations pull extra money out of your account to 'hold in reserve' for up to 3 days depending on your bank. This amount on 'hold' can be $ 30.00 to a stunning $ 125.00 over the purchase price of the fuel depending on the station and your bank..

The massive undulation of water was over and gone for days before the nukes became a problem.

And you are correct that Newport's as well as other beach combing spots are crowded. Tourism has clicked up big time because of the usable dock and other flotsam and jetsam on the beaches..

The nagging problem with smoking the 'devil's weed' is that it could have been weeks ago on your day off at a party.

The test still reads positive......not a fair test.

However your worker friend drank till near dawn, smells like alcohol but it is thumbs up for work.

Your other worker friend takes heavy duty narcotic pills for back pain, under a doctors prescription, again it is a thumbs up for work.

Guess who gets the company boot ?
