This after multiple courts have told them it's out of line.

They obviously still don't get it.

I am uncomfortable with having the Feds step in to take control of a local matter.

However, the citizens of Seattle are between a rock and a hard place. The situation with the abuse of police power has been known and complained about for years. The media and individual citizens have exposed abuses time after time. The situation was not addressed or even admitted by the local authorities despite the outcry from the citizens.

It is not suprising that the Feds stepped in to deal with the corrupt local political machine. Now the citizens are faced with resisting the Feds and continuing to endure the situation and watch it get worse, or accepting greater federal control and possibly setting up a situation where a powerful central government will be even harder to resist if it begins sponsoring additional abuses of the citizenry in our back yard.

Not a pretty situation to be in.

Several years back false charges started showing up on my Verizon cellualar phone bill. I called Verizon and they said there was nothing they could do about it. I told the representative that I did not want the theft to continue, and that one way for me to stop it was to discontinue my Verizon account. The rep then figured out how to stop it and refund the money that had been stolen.

It's terribly complex.. Let's think a while longer on why massive infusions of cheap money aren't curing the inflation problem. Maybe the answer will come to us.
