You are probably right about that (not letting his daughter get attached if there were another person he was romantically involved with) and I hope my message didn't imply that I think you're naive. I just find it tremendously upsetting that he knows he is hurting you and seems nonplussed by it. You deserve better, Rina. Hugs!
I hate to even ask this, but do you think there could be someone else in the picture? I had a long distance relationship about four years ago and my boyfriend pulled almost the exact same shit on me a few weeks before I was supposed to visit for a month (he lived in DC and I live in Northern California). It turned out that he was engaged to someone else. I wouldn't assume that it's over but I'd think very carefully about whether he is the right person for you. To me, it sounds like he is not emotionally ready to handle such a large commitment right now. The way he is behaving is not how people in loving, committed, honest relationships treat each other.
It's nice to know that there really are some good landlords in the world. Is the phone number from her rental application references? Let us know what happens.
Yikes, that is very worrisome. Have you checked to see if she has a Facebook/Twitter account? It might be worth checking to see if there are any recent updates.
Thanks! I've been using Kayak and Aer Lingus appears to be the cheapest airline (SFO to DUB for $839 in September) but I don't see any of those flights on Google Flights. I wonder why that is.
That's true. Flights to Stockholm are also reasonable but I've heard everything is much more expensive there.
I'm planning my vacation for later this year and I've noticed that it's about $300 cheaper to fly to Dublin than anywhere else in Europe. Does anyone know why that is?
If you're not looking to spend a lot, I suggest Feckin Irish Whiskey or Powers. If you can spend a bit more, go for the Red Breast!
