Learning to compromise and accept a raised bridge, with the modern encroachment of a retaining wall, would be more reasonable if we are to retain our history, while being flexible enough to accommodate modern development. History and high speed rail can be compatible, as we pursue a 'green future' for modern, environmentally friendly, transportation alternatives. Please do not tarnish legitimate historic preservation efforts by playing yet another highly public (and unpopular) game of political "trivial pursuit".
