I agree with them paying SS, Taxes (not all taxes), and they shouldn't have a total free ride on retirement and health benefits. But if they begin to pay these extras than they should be given higher salaries while they are in office. I agree that the Military should be given more. Pelosi and Reid are repeatedly reelected because of the earmarks they give to their state. You wouldn't bite off the hand that continues to feed you.

I would like to know when President Obama began working for GM? If the US Government is the largest shareholder of a company, shouldn't the decisions still be decided by the house and senate before any firings or "forced" resigns happen? Also, if we the taxpayers own some of AIG stock shares, than why haven't we gotten any statements showing how many shares we each own? We may not be able to sell our shares but at least we would know how much we "MAY" get back from the Government as tax credit once all of this turns around. Of course once AIG files Chapter 11 we won't see a dime of our money back. - Man this sucks!
