They are working on that. Countries are agreeing to take some of the detainees who have been found to be innocent. Some were recently taken to Palau, Italy has agreed to take some as I believe Belgium has.
The ones who are guilty or deemed too dangerous to release will probably end up in Super Max.
Problem is Gitmo wasn't well thought out in the first place. Many of the people there were not fighting, they were turned in for the ransom that was paid, no questions asked. The Uighurs who had fled persecution in China and were trying to get out of Afghanistan were swept up and sent to Gitmo. Some of the people there are terrorists, some are not. The problem is separating the two.

If he comes out strongly in favor of the protestors and their cause the current regime will say the reformist opposition are simply puppets of the U.S. giving them the kiss of death in the Arab world. The vote is a complete fraud (Victory was claimed within 19 hours, they count all their votes by hand. do the math.) The Iranian people have to reform their own government an there isn't much we can do. Obama has no control of Ahmadinejad or the Ayatollas. Congress plays the good cop with their resolution. Isreal calls for a hard line no matter what.

He dismissed the divinity of Jesus entirely and even went so far as to write a whole new gospel leaving out all of the miracles as well as any reference to divinity. In Leviticus, as well as other books, slavery is not only supported but encouraged. Are you prepared to defend the bible as the inerrant word of god?
My dad is 93. He fought during WW11 in the navy on the Phaladelphia. He worked for NASA in his civilian life and is now supported by socialized medicine via the veterans administration as well as Social Security. Much of his savings were whipped clean by the free market. He is lucky to have five sons who love him and honor his service to this country, otherwise he would be dead or living miserably on the streets. I am proud to pay my taxes and support heroes like my dad!
O.K. so perfect world and there is no socialized medicine. Everyone pays for their own health care. What happens to those who are unlucky enough to be poor and seriously sick? Say you have worked your butt off as a janitor for twenty years making $20,000.00 a year. You have diligently paid $200.00 a month and never used it. Now you find out you have lung cancer, never smoked a day in your life. You stop working because you are sick and you can't pay your premiums and so your insurance company drops you, taking the bulk of your $48,000.00. The market has been deregulated, in the true spirit of Ayn Rand, you are S.O.L. Is this the type of society we imagine in the U.S.A?
