Good job to Thurston County SO for doing their job. Arresting another police officer isn't easy. However, in this case it seems to be clearly warranted.

I have met him and talked with him. He is. Depending on which study you read, Officers are 5 to 8 times more likely to take their own lives than be killed in the line of duty. This is a service which will and has saved lives.

Could not agree more. Generally I like KOMO but being in law enforcement, I hate when they lead articles this way. Talk about bias. Just report the facts. Let the readers decide the rest. Clearly, the deputies had little choice in this situation. Think about how they FEEL about having to do this. This is just a tragedy all the way around. No need to sensationalize it KOMO. Shame on you.
